BRAND

Ideal&Co – Living Heritage* is a 100% Portuguese brand which proposes, through its collections, to reinterpret, to preserve and to share the beauty of that which is genuine and Made in Portugal.

Ideal&Co – Living Heritage* is traded by the following Portuguese company:

Ca-thect Uni. Lda
Largo de São Domingos, nº13-3º
4050-545 Porto
Portugal
VAT: PT513142371

MANUFACTURE POLICY

Having as a starting point and inspiration in each collection, the richness of materials, as well as the natural and human resources from the Parque Natural da Serra de Aires e Candeeiros:

Ideal&Co – Living Heritage* creates and markets exclusive manufactured products, by choosing and respecting the most noble raw materials, transformed in an ecological and sustainable way, and always valuing the craftsmanship of expert artisans which fully create each piece in a traditional way.

VEGETABLE TANNED LEATHER

Ideal&Co will not accept any complaint that concerns the following characteristics. Vegetable tanned leather is one of the main differentiating factors of this brand, and the following characteristics are the evidence that the leather is genuine and natural.

Vegetable tanned leather provides a patina which reinforces the character and unique beauty of each product, and the more the piece is used and exposed to the natural elements, such as the sun, the more beautiful it gets. Leathers created from vegetable tanning display the natural characteristics of leather, making each product with this kind of leather original and unique.

Ideal&Co products may display small marks, such as scars or insect bites, due to the fact that unlike commonly marketed leathers, this marks are not hidden by layers of pigmented ink and other resins which would otherwise give the leathers a perfect but artificial look. Each leather absorbs dyes in a different manner, and as such there are always small variations on the tone of the leathers used on similar products.

ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

Through its business model Ideal&Co contributes towards a sustainable development of the society and medium in which it operates. Only those processes considered ecologically sustainable are used in the making of our products.

The tanning technique used by our company is considered ancestral and it is one of the most respectful towards the environment, only vegetable extracts are used.

ANIMAL CARE POLICY

All leather used in Ideal&Co’s products comes from animals raised for the food industry in Portuguese farms, and in under no circumstances are the animals killed solely for their skins.
